It is my great privilege to be the Principal of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, Hilton, especially within such a warm and welcoming community.

Since 1954, our school has been a place where faith, learning and community meet. The Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition first established this tradition of dedication and service, later continued by the Sisters of Nazareth from 1963 to 1992. Their commitment to prayer, compassion and education laid the foundations for the warm, faith-filled community we cherish today. I remain deeply grateful for their legacy, which continues to shape the heart and spirit of our school.

Today, our single-stream Catholic primary school welcomes children from Three-Year-Old Kindergarten to Year Six. We are fortunate to offer a well-resourced learning environment with modern facilities, dedicated staff and a strong focus on the pastoral care and wellbeing of every child. However, what makes our school truly special is our people.

Together, we live our school motto, Truth, Prayer and Service, striving to build a community grounded in integrity, faith and compassion each and every day. Guided by our mission and Carmelite tradition, we ask ourselves the question, “where is God in our school?” We recognise God’s presence in the everyday moments of school life – in our relationships, our care for others and our service to the community. Our close partnership with Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish further enriches this mission, supporting our students to grow in faith, confidence and compassion.

Choosing a school for your child is an important decision, and we understand the impact of finding the right fit for your family. I warmly invite you to explore our website or contact us to learn more about our welcoming school community.
